Jordan and Ashley are here with Lux and Macey to hang out. It's the first time ever that they have visited and I don't have to work! To commemorate we went to Lake Lewisville and spent the day having fun.
Last night me, Ash, and Allie went to Kroger around 11:30 pm and got a nice sized load of groceries for our lunch at the beach. We made turkey and cheese sandwiches, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, we had watermelon, strawberries, grapes, cherries, and chips to boot.
Once we FINALLY got loaded and picked up the Chapin kids. We headed to Little Elm around 10:15. The kids hit the water and dirt the second we got there and had a blast. They boys had all protested before we left that they wouldn't get in and would just sit in chairs and didn't need swimsuits.....needless to say they were one of the first ones in......
After playing for about an hour and a half and frying to death. We ate our lunch, packed up, showered off, and went back home. Everyone cleaned up, baby E got a nap. And I got the boys off to scout camp.
* Jeff found out he passed his content test!*
After everyone was washed up we went to dinner in downtown Mckinney at Bayou Jack's. For some reason Kasey and Jordan were craving cajun?
Jeff stayed back to work on his online modules and partially didn't want an allergic reaction today. So Emily was my plus one.
Easton was probably the only one that ate his whole dinner and it was probably because it was Mac n'cheese. lol. It was really good though! We tried alligator, dirty balls, and Kasey tried fried oyster. He was not a fan. Those of us that were daring got fried catfish and actual southern cajun things. Mine was pretty good.
While we waited 8 years to get our checks, Aubrey and Ashley took all the kids to Mom and Popcorn for candy and popcorn. The money makers had to sit and wait for the waitress to decide to give us her checks. That included Easton since Jeff stayed home, he was not happy about staying there and everyone leaving.
Once we got out of downtown, we stopped at Kasey and Aubrey's to sit and talk for a bit and then Lindsay, Emily, and I called it quits and went back to our house. Jordan and Ashley weren't far behind. We got home and Easton was happy to be in his own space so I got the flag holder fixed and got our flag hung up. *Merica!
By the end of the night we all ended up in the backyard playing a corn hole tournament, drinking way too many mountain dews while the babies played and jumped and it was AWESOME.
