The awaited day finally came! Jeff's Christmas present day!
It was suppose to be just dinner and game but he decided to ring up another one of the gifts he got. So after a wonderful day as a family outside, inside, and on our sides; we headed to downtown. After a minor delay and minor panic. We made it in the nick of time... Then preceded to delay our own selves by walking down to the "X" before the sun went down before our scheduled tickets at the 6th floor museum. I'll be honest, it was a little sketchy at times, there are a lot of conspirators roaming around trying to sell magazines and news papers but Jeff loved it. I think it just lit his fire to get us up to D.C., somewhere with so much history he might just explode with how much awesomeness.
After a few hours gawking at the JFK museum, we went to find parking around the block for the American Airlines center for the Mavericks vs Bulls game. We got some Jimmy Johns sandwiches, froze our bums off, got free bobble heads, bottomless popcorn and Dr. Pepper, enjoyed the game, left early, missed the end of a close game, avoided traffic, got killer ice cream, picked up our sleepy baby, and enjoyed being back home. That makes for a wonderful day.
It's rare that Jeff and I get to have our own time together but having Jill and Nathaniel that love your baby and he loves them makes it so much easier. He ran around outside with them all evening and loved it! Now where do we go next? ( I may or may not have found cheap tickets to Ronald Reagan in D.C..... ugh, cures poorness).
