Happy 2 months to our Easton James!
He is now:
8 lbs 4 oz
21 inches long
& real life age would be 2 weeks old
Again, 2 days late but Easton got his 2 month shots on Thursday. He had to get 3 at one time! Poor baby. Plus he had to drink down the rotavirus ( he didn't mind that too much). We loaded him up with Tylenol and did the best we could to keep him comfy. The rotavirus has a side effect of them having diarrhea and puking and within 2 hours he totally blew out his diaper and has been spitting up ever since. It's starting to slow down but he has been a starving monster the past 2 days.
He is getting so chunky in his face and his head, I swear, it has gained 10 lbs. He is getting so hard to hold for long periods of time! So much different than my 4 lb baby. I'm uber happy he's growing like a weed though. We have been working a lot more on breastfeeding as much as we can when I'm home, so I was happy to hear he has been gaining weight instead of working it all off.
He has decided he likes being awake for a few more hours of the day and has been eating in a lot more. It's just unfortunate his waking our hours are at 2 am. haha.
A couple times he's locked on to our faces for a few seconds but not much is processing when it happens haha. Our pediatrician isn't too worried yet since, obviously, he isn't old enough to be doing that fun stuff yet! We're getting there though! :)

We got him scheduled to do some physical therapy next week just so he doesn't get tortecollis, he likes his right side a lot. Feetson also decided to have an umbilical hernia, lucky boy. It freaks Jeff out. When he tries to poop it sticks out pretty far lol. If you put your finger on it, you can feel it all bubblin' in there. It's pretty weird.
We still have his monitor on. I'm pretty frustrated with it, or I should say the people that are suppose to be managing it. They just BARELY, YESTERDAY sent over his 2 week download from 4 weeks ago. So we have been in caffeine and monitor limbo. Hopefully the neonatologist calls us by next week so we can see what we are suppose to be doing with this thing, but I can't believe that they would send a premature baby home on an apnea monitor and not follow up frequently. It baffles me. There have been several instances with ProCare that have been quite frustrating and honestly not safe or okay. But, whatcha gonna do....
Selfie with G-ma!
Best Dad on the planet award goes to Jeffrey McClain. He amazes me every single day by the love he has for his kiddo and the things he does for him. Rips my heart right out.
