Worst three words ever.
Christmas break was such a dream. It was a nightmare at points but so worth it. It was nice to sleep in my own bed though after two weeks of being gone and a ROUGH trip home. You know that cold front that blew in and arizona actually got snow and there were like 22 wrecks on one highway in an hour? Yeah. We were there. We first had to stop in Cedar City for the night because 1) you couldn't see anything 2) we were slipping all over the place and 3) other idiots were on the road -- we were only an hour from Jeff's grandparents and we couldn't even go that much further in those conditions so we stopped in a cozy hotel that took great care of us, gave us a great deal and free WiFi :)
After we slowly made it out of Cedar City the next day we carefully made our way to St. George to stop and look at the weather and enjoy the only pocket of no snow from Utah to Arizona.
Unfortunately we made the decision to keep going (I was getting trunky) and ran into yet another mess of people and stopped for the night in Kingman because 1)we were hungry 2) the road out of Utah was completely closed and we were stuck 3) we knew there would be no rooms if we waited any longer.
we found what seemed to be the LAST room available in Kingman and spent new years eve in an extremely over priced room with hotpockets and IBC root beers to ring in the new year. Jeff woke me up at 12:01 to take a swig of my celebratory mormon non alcoholic beverage- took a swig kissed him goodnight and I was OUT. lol.
Now we are in full swing with school and plans and helping clean out the house to sell.
